Seven Solemn Warnings Every Christian Must Heed

Image
Introduction   The Epistle to the Hebrews stands as one of the most powerful and challenging books in the New Testament. Though its human author remains uncertain, its divine message is unmistakably clear. Written specifically to believers, Hebrews repeatedly emphasizes the superior blessings found in Christ.  Hebrews 2:1 declares:   "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip."   This verse introduces one of the central themes of Hebrews: the urgent need for Christians to remain steadfast in their faith.  Throughout the epistle, the word better  appears repeatedly, highlighting the superior covenant, promises, sacrifice, and hope found in Jesus Christ. Epistle to the Hebrews It is indeed far better to belong to Christ than to remain outside His grace.  Yet, Hebrews also contains serious warnings. These warnings are not directed at unbelievers, but at Christians—those who...

Audacious Faith Believes, Waits & Sees

Image
Today, I would like to call this post “audacious faith” and the reason why. There are many I know on social media who have been waiting on the promises of God for years and years and some as much as decades as I have and others as well. We aren’t the first believers to have waited as we see in Genesis 18.  Beloved, how often do we snicker behind closed doors along with our faith at what God has promised us? Sarah laughed and honestly I’ve chuckled to myself too in seasons when the time and years are just so inconceivable and my faith was being challenged until “audacity” kicked in. Our faith must never be apologetic rather, it must remain strong and yes, even offensive to some but who cares? Man cannot deliver what only God can deliver.  So, here is a thought to consider. If we should look at a scale and what shifts the scale it is either more weight or less as the numbers adjust. Now, should we recall what Jesus said in Matthew 17, verse 20 … “Because of your lack of faith,” ...

Trusting In God's Timing, From Small Beginnings To Great Success.

Image
In the hustle and bustle of our modern world, it's easy to become discouraged by the enormity of our dreams and goals. We often underestimate the potential of small beginnings, forgetting the powerful promise found in Isaiah 60:22:  "A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time."   This ancient verse serves as a timeless reminder that even the tiniest seed of an idea or the humblest start can grow into something extraordinary. It also reminds us that, even the smallest and seemingly insignificant beginnings can lead to remarkable transformations when guided by the divine hand of the Lord. Let's explore the profound wisdom within this verse and how it can motivate us in our daily lives.  Start Small, Dream Big:  Remember that every great success story begins with a small step. Whether you're starting a new project, launching a business, or pursuing a personal goal, don't be discouraged by your init...

God’s Mercy Is Strong When Our Faith Is Weak

Image
Today I would like to talk about when our faith grows tired. It can happen and most of us would agree unless, of course, you are spiritually above others. This is depicted in the reading of the psalms where faith and hope struggled when despair took its place.  We could profess a strong and sturdy faith one day and the next we are looking at a pile of ashes wondering where it has gone. The truth is, there is a gradual build-up that occurs within our spirit and it could take just one thing to push us over the edge. Every day we live, there is something or someone that is trying to chip away at our faith and though it can be subtle and nothing we are ever aware of, it could happen.  James chapter 1 speaks of faith when doubt creeps in and the results therein, and of course, we have the book of Hebrews which is all about faith.  Let me preface this post to say this: when we question the ways of God or why our circumstances, this does not mean faith has waivered. Job question...

Sixty six powerful quotes of Faith

Image
Faith is the confidence based on past experience that God's new and fresh surprises will surely be ours. The beginning point of Faith is is believing in God's character: He is Who He says He is. The end point is believing in God's promises. He will do whatever He says. When we believe that God will fulfill His promises even though we don't see those promises materializing yet, we demonstrate true Faith. It is like a see planted in your heart but God gives the harvest at His own appointed time. ( 1) "I am not moved by what I see. I am not moved by what I feel. I am moved only by what I believe."   Smith Wigglesworth (2) "Faith begins where the will of God is known."      Kenneth E. Hagan Sr.  (3) "Faith isn't the ability to believe long and far into the misty future. It's simply taking God at His Word and taking the next step."   Joni Erickson Toda (4) Hope = Desire + God's Promise.                ...
