"BUT GOD"

Image
"But as for you, you thought evil against me; BUT GOD meant it to good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive." Genesis 50:20. There is almost always a “BUT GOD” in the life of every faith person; whereby God's abundant grace rescues, blesses, or intervene in the affairs of his people. Search through the bible and meditate on these two key words, and you will realize how powerful and awesome this phrase is. “BUT GOD”.  "My flesh and my heart fails: BUT GOD is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever." Psalm 73:26.  See how many times human resources have been brought to an utter end; despair has gripped the heart and pessimism and gloom has settled upon a people; and there is nothing that can be done. "BUT GOD" "There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: BUT GOD is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, t...

Encouragement Is A Spring Of Life

Image
Today I would like to talk about when its necessary to take a hard stand with others. Truthfully, it can be a hard position to take especially when your heart is to encourage as many as you can but sometimes one reaches the end of their rope.  Earlier, I blocked someone and have no intention of unblocking them. I am very humbled when someone reaches out to me and asks me to pray for them or seek a word that the Lord may have for them. For those of you who have done so, know that I have but there is another type of person who reaches out for prayer when all they really want to do is to vent their story, line by line chapter after chapter and why today’s post is all about encouragement.  Jesus is the ultimate encourager and gave hope to everyone he encountered but he never minced words or truth. Encouragement is never stroking another to remain in their depression, we do so by sharing hope, spirit life changing scriptures and sometimes even by the word of our own testimony to he...

God’s Mercy Is Strong When Our Faith Is Weak

Image
Today I would like to talk about when our faith grows tired. It can happen and most of us would agree unless, of course, you are spiritually above others. This is depicted in the reading of the psalms where faith and hope struggled when despair took its place.  We could profess a strong and sturdy faith one day and the next we are looking at a pile of ashes wondering where it has gone. The truth is, there is a gradual build-up that occurs within our spirit and it could take just one thing to push us over the edge. Every day we live, there is something or someone that is trying to chip away at our faith and though it can be subtle and nothing we are ever aware of, it could happen.  James chapter 1 speaks of faith when doubt creeps in and the results therein, and of course, we have the book of Hebrews which is all about faith.  Let me preface this post to say this: when we question the ways of God or why our circumstances, this does not mean faith has waivered. Job question...

Be acquainted with the person of the Holy Spirit.

Picture by Quang Nguyen Vinh/Pexels  The Spirit Whom He has caused to dwell in us yearns over us and He yearns for the Spirit [to be welcome] with a jealous love? (James 4:5, AMP) Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John 17:3 It is Christ In you the hope of glory. Christ who is your life. There are many who have never become acquainted with the person of the Holy Spirit, only with His gifts. There is a desire to know Him with each believer and to see the hand of the Lord move in our behalf. We were created to know the Lord in with real intimacy and a real knowing. The presence of the Lord lives within each one of us. The Lord longs to speak within you, to strengthen you, give you His confidence that supersede any self confidence, to give you the answers you seek, to empower you, capture your heart and give you satisfaction and fulfillment that only can be given from Him.  The only way is to spend the tim...
