A Love Worthy Of Our Awe

Today I would like to speak on the wonders and awe of God. When we first meet the Lord and fall in love with him, everything we learn and time spent with him is wondrous because he is so awesome but then ….  But then … life happens.  This morning I was thinking back to a time I moved out to California. My friend and I drove down the coast from Los Angeles to San Francisco. There were many beautiful sights to see but something about the oceanfront and the mountains captured my awe. No matter how many I saw, every scenery was majestic and worthy of another awe! People and places can still create a wonder in our lives but what happens when the Lord begins to feel stale and not so wondrous anymore? We soon forget the benefits and the blessed promises as we walk with him.  We have become a people of quick satisfaction and if something or someone no longer does it for us, we wish to move on until we are caught up in awesomeness again.
