Sometimes We Must Let Go

A sailing ship … 
Travels an ocean sea as some are now taking a trip … 

We watch them leave our life bidding farewell 
Just when we thought two may write their story to tell 

Ohh why did they leave our world we wonder 
Suddenly the sky was dark with lightening and thunder 

I have protected you said the Lord .! 
While you trusted they were on board grief was in store 

Do not chase after what is now gone .. 
There's a new chapter to be lived beyond horizon dawn 

And while some are waiting for their ship to come in 
They lost their direction of how and where to now begin 

Today is a new day … 
Do not run after those who have chosen their own way .. 

Remember, the shore had to kiss the ocean goodbye 
Before the waves could explore their expanse and apply 

You see, everything in life has a turn of events 
With stories to share while you gaze upon their contents 

There is a time to gather and a time to let go, 
All participated for a season while you continue to grow !
