Let It Remain Your First Love


Begin your day in the word … 
Even the flowers find their rest by what is heard … 

The sun can’t rise without hearing God’s voice 
Nor could the heart of a man find peace and rejoice 

As morning rain comes to nourish the earth 
The Spirit of God has revealed to man hidden worth 

And spring dances when she is ushered in 
By revelation of His word granted to all that is in him 

Its alive and well.! 
And shall keep your days long for you to one day tell 

By the word I heard, 
My faith was given breath and grew wings like a bird 

Today, it found its course 
Joined to His spirit we will never separate or divorce 

A soul called by love, 
Will respond to the soft whisper echoing from above 

Feel the warmth 
It releases sunlight from all directions and goes forth 

Deep travels and opens the gate of your heart, 
And once entering in will never for a moment depart 

This is the only promising way to live, 
Heart to heart with the One source of love that gives
