El-Olam: The Everlasting God - Genesis 21:33


"And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God." Genesis 21:33 

In the Sacred of verses of the bible, Genesis 21:33 stands as a profound testament to the eternal nature of God. This verse unfolds the revelation of God as El-Olam, the Everlasting God. Let's delve into the significance of this divine attribute and how it continues to resonate through the ages. 

Genesis 21:33 (NIV): 
"Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the Lord, the Eternal God." 

Abraham, a patriarch revered for his unwavering faith, chooses Beersheba as the backdrop for his act of devotion. In this arid land, he plants a tamarisk tree, a symbol of longevity, endurance, and resilience. It becomes the living witness to his encounter with El-Olam, the Eternal God.
