God is the restorer of our soul

"He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." Psalm 23:2-3.
Submit your ways to the leading of Christ and you will always find rest and joy to your soul. He will restore, revive and strengthen you all the time.
When we allow God to be our shepherd, to guide us, we have commitment.  Our shepherd knows the "green meadows" and "peaceful streams" that will restore us. We can reach reach these places by following him obediently.
Our rebellion against the shepherd's leading is actually rebelling against our own best interests. We must remember this the next time we are tempted to go our own way rather than God's way.
